A Note From Marie: 9-14-22

From Marie:
Cancer update: Radiation was completed in only 3 weeks, and I am now in the phase of ‘every three months’ for checkup and mammograms for the next 2 or 3 years. To date, everything is fine; my hair is completely back (partly curly this time), still basically unmanageable (by me at least) and still graying a bit more all the time. I FEEL fine, just as I have throughout the whole ordeal, and I am STILL grateful to so many who have prayed for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! And speaking of ‘heart’, I know my heart has been damaged some from the chemo, but I don’t get to see a cardiologist until next week – almost 10 months since the oncologist sent the referral over – so by this time I have a lot of questions to ask!

My brother: Steve is doing well, even though the Parkinson’s is severe. He has 24/7 caregivers, and he gets along just great with all of them … including Bob, who at times teases him almost unmercifully … which makes Steve break into laughter; and when Steve gets a chance to tease Bob – he does!

The Office: The Lord is blessing and is faithful, as always, in spite of Donna now being in heaven, and Bob taking care of Steve at least part of the time, leaving the entire workload up to me and Jenn. He sends us what we can handle at the time and no more. Once we get all that done, He sends another ‘batch’ and we ‘get with it’ again!

A big THANK YOU to all who have continued with us this year and those who will continue into next year. We don’t know what the future holds, but we all know WHO holds the future!
